R e s e r v a t i o n s A t T h e S a l t a i r e H o u s e

A confirmed reservation at The Saltaire guarantees guests the private use of the entire house and all the amenities of the property during their reservation period

Reservations of only one room require a two-night minimum

Nightly accommodation and short-term rentals are scheduled around events at The Saltaire so that such guests will never occupy the house at the same time that an event is held

Reservations made inside 30-days from arrival are confirmed at the time of booking with a deposit equal to 50% of the total stay including tax

Reservations made outside 30-days from arrival are held with a credit card; then confirmed with a deposit equal to 50% of the total stay including tax at 30-days prior to arrival

Room rates are based on double occupancy

All rentals are subject to NC Sales Tax of 6.75% & Dare Co. Occupancy Tax of 5% for a total tax rate of 11.75%

Cash, Check or Traveler’s Check preferred at check-out; Visa, Master Card, and Discover also accepted

We honor Senior and Military discount of 5% when requested at booking

Reservations are secured for a specific room, but in the case of emergency we reserve the right to change accommodation

Sorry, we do not accept pets

C a n c e l l a t i o n s

All reservations that have been guaranteed with a deposit are subject to a $40 fee when canceled to cover processing costs, regardless of timing

We request cancellations be made 10 days prior to arrival for return of deposit minus the $40 cancellation fee

Cancellations made inside of 10 days prior to arrival will forfeit deposit if we are unable to rent the same accommodation for a reservation of equal or greater value

Deposits are fully refundable minus the $40 cancellation fee in the event of a mandatory evacuation of the Town of Duck due to inclement weather or hurricane

Check-In is from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. daily. We request that you call the Reservationist at least an hour before you’d like to check-in on the day of arrival so that we can arrange to greet you in person.

Early Check-In is gladly accommodated whenever possible. Don’t hesitate to ask! If your room(s) is still bein g made ready when you arrive on the island, you are welcome to drop your bags and hit the beach. We are happy to suggest a local spot if you are hungry after your travels.

Late Arrival is accommodated whenever possible. Please call the Reservationist early in the day if you will arrive late so arrangements can be made for your arrival.

Check-Out is before 11 am.

Late Check-Out requests are accommodated whenever possible, at the discretion of the owner.
