Ron and June Forlano, owners of The Saltaire House, have been residents of the Outer Banks since 1985, and have enjoyed success in the area as small business owners for over 20 years.
We first conceived The Saltaire House in 2004 in recognition of the Outer Banks as one of the most popular family vacation and destination wedding locations in the United States. Outer Banks beaches are consistently rated among the country's finest and the area offers a plethora of sights, history and sports to guests, in addition to offering moderate weather, picturesque surroundings... and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean.
We felt that among the many houses in the area, a property of The Saltaire's caliber - designed specifically to host upscale events on the Outer Banks - was missing. Our goal was to showcase a unique property that would feature as a special event venue during weekly rentals, while offering the highest level of personalized service. So we designed and built The Saltaire House in 2005.
We are proud to say that The Saltaire has quickly become a premier event venue and luxury vacation rental on the Outer Banks, hosting families and elegant events of all types and sizes. We are delighted to host garden and beach wedding ceremonies, receptions and rehearsals on the Outer Banks, as well as corporate retreats, small events and mini vacations all in Duck, North Carolina.
Because we have lived in the area for over 20 years, we have established a network of relationships with other local business owners and event vendors who provide the highest quality of services. We are happy to pass on our tips, secrets and information to you. We will gladly assist with any and all stages of planning your Outer Banks wedding or event as part of your Saltaire rental.
In 2011, recognizing a gap in upscale accommodation options for short-term rentals, The Saltaire House grew to include this as another rental option. Guests are welcome to book a stay at The Saltaire around weekly rentals and events year-round, at rates based on the number of bedrooms used during their stay. We are excited to host parties that may not require the option to sleep up to 14 people or stay for at least six nights.
